Robert Robo Horner

SAVANNAH – Robert "Robo" Samuel Horner, 77, of Savannah, Georgia, died Monday morning, October 08, 2012, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, he was a son of the late William J. Horner and the late Matilda Hettel Horner. Mr. Horner was a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Horner was a United States Army veteran. He was retired as an electronics salesman and was currently employed with Publix on Wilmington Island where he enjoyed working with his fellow associates and helping his customers.
Surviving are Jean Horner; his son, Robert S. Horner, Jr. and his wife, Marie, of Cape Coral, Florida; his daughter, Julie A. Mitchell and her husband, Tommy, of Waynesboro, Georgia; a sister, Barbara A. Gerahty and her husband, Patrick, of Ft. Myers, Florida; a brother, William J. Horner, Jr. and his wife, Joani, of Titusville, Florida; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Horner was predeceased by three sisters, Cecilia Clifford, Joan Kober, and Nancy Cassidy, and a brother, James Horner.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with The Rev. Msgr. P. James Costigan, officiant. Interment will be private.
